J. Michael Ussery

J. Michael Ussery serves as founder and President of OnCourse Strategies and has been involved in many aspects of the golf and real estate industries for the past thirty years. In addition to oversight of company operations, Ussery provides golf and country club operational and development consulting. Mr. Ussery has been involved in the acquisition, development, ownership and operation of golf properties of all types with extensive expertise in the area of golf operations. Among his areas of focus and prior participation are market analysis, due diligence studies, business and strategic planning for golf properties and real estate projects.

Immediately prior to the establishment of OnCourse Strategies, Mr. Ussery served as a Sr. Vice President for ClubCorp. During his nine-year career with ClubCorp, Ussery served as a Regional Manager and Regional Vice President prior to his assignment to head oversight and reorganization of the company's daily fee golf product line. Prior to joining ClubCorp, Ussery headed Great Southwest Golf Properties, a golf consulting, brokerage and management firm. Mr. Ussery's professional golf career has included tournament play, club professional, director of golf and club manager duties. He became a Member of the PGA of American in 1982 and maintains current Class "A" status. Mr. Ussery's further experience includes real estate development, investment and construction. He has served on numerous national panels and as a speaker at many golf industry seminars and conferences


David Preisler

David Preisler serves as Director of Operations at Oakhurst Golf Club and monitors operations at three additional Houston area properties. Preisler became a Partner in affiliate Austin/Texas Golf Ventures L.P. in 2002 and is a golf industry veteran with extensive golf operations experience. He formerly served as a Director of Golf and Golf Professional for several ClubCorp multi-course operations including many years directing the golf operations at the Clubs of Kingwood, a five-course operation in Houston Texas. Preisler has been an active PGA of America Class A Member for over 20 years and an accomplished player who maintains a high profile image and reputation in the industry. He has successfully operated independent contractor golf merchandising operations at several properties along with other private business ventures.

Preisler has served on many PGA of America committees, is a two time winner of the Southern Texas PGA Private Club Merchandiser of the Year Award and a former Gulf Coast PGA Player of the Year. His golf shop has been named as one of America's Top 100 Golf Shops by Golf Shop Operations magazine. Preisler also served as a technical advisor and actor in the acclaimed golf movie, Tin Cup. His experience establishes substantial expertise in golf industry operations and management.
